Dr. Sam De Snoeck
Dr. Sam de Snoeck, 53, one of the co-founders of Delvigent, graduated from Ghent University in Belgium. Sam has been active in the pig industry for the past 30 years. At present, Sam's daily work is to provide technical consulting services for farms in the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium. Until recently, Sam was a partner in the largest veterinarian service in the Netherlands, which serves more than a third of sows in the Netherlands. Sam is deeply committed to banning antibiotics in animal nutrition and had a very large practical experience in reducing and replacing antibiotics. Sam's main goal has always been to achieve good production performance through prevention of diseases rather than treatment. In order to achieve this goal, Sam has carried out a lot of research and field experiments on various feed formulations, the selection and optimalisation of animal feed and feed additives and the application of diagnostic tools. Antibiotic use in the farms where Sam served have dropped to very low levels.
